FREDA’S IS TEMPORARILY SUSPENDING OPERATION
As a society we’re currently entering uncharted waters due to the impacts of Coronavirus (COVID 19).
We’ve spent the better part of the last few weeks trying to work out the right direction to take regarding continued operation, and the safety of our staff and patrons. We have also had to consider what steps to take if we needed to close for a period of time due to the outbreak.
Unfortunately as a venue that survives on events built around music, dancing and culture, we are at the forefront of risk in this outbreak. Social distancing is being advised by health officials and the government is likely to implement bans on gatherings of 100 or more.
In light of this, we have taken the extremely difficult decision that now is the time to suspend operations effective immediately until it is deemed safe to continue.
As a venue that promotes community awareness, we feel it’s of the utmost importance to limit social interaction in order to curb the spread of this virus before it gets out of hand, and so that our health care systems can manage.
This is an extraordinary and unprecedented time in history that over time we will recover from. In the meantime, please look after yourselves and each other.
See you as soon as is possible.
